We are happy to announce the International Conference on BIOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF LOW DOSE IONIZING RADIATION AND RADIOACTIVE CONTAMINATION OF THE ENVIRONMENT (BIORAD-2014) that will be held in March 17 – 21, 2014 in Syktyvkar, the Komi Republic, Russia. The meeting will be organized by Institute of Biology (Komi Scientific Centre, Ural branch of Russian Academy of Sciences) in co-operation with Scientific Council on Radiobiology of Russian Academy of Sciences and Russian Society for Radiobiology.

 MAIN TOPIC AREAS

  1. Effects of low dose of ionizing radiation.
  • Chronic irradiation effects on populations, organisms, tissues and cells.
  • Cell mechanisms of ionizing radiation effects on biological system.
  1. Geochemical patterns of radionuclides distribution in soil-vegetation cover.
  2. biological effects of radioactive pollution of the environment.
  3. radioactive and non-radioactive factors combined exposure on living organisms.

ORGANIZATION FEE

Conference fee (1000 RUR) will cover the book of proceedings and coffee breaks. It should be paid during registration.

DEADLINES TO CONSIDER

  • October 15, 2013 – registration forms and manuscripts needed
  • December 15, 2013 – second Circular will be distributed
  • March 17-18, 2014 – registration of the participants
  • March 18, 2014 – the conference opening day
