Dear colleagues!
We invite you to take part in conference “Algae: problems of taxonomy, ecology and application in monitoring” which will be held in Syktyvkar (Komi Republic, Russia) from 5th to 9th October, 2009.
Conference topics:
* Modern taxonomy of algae (morphological, functional and molecular phylogenetic aspects).
* Diversity, ecology and geography of algae. Structure and function of algal communities.
* Algal floras. Rare and poorly studied species.
* Water and soil quality assessment with algae.
* Modern methods and approaches in freshwater and soil algae studies.
Conference program will include several keynote lectures, contributed papers and poster sessions, field excursion and microscopy sessions. There will be a training course for postgraduate students and young researchers focused on modern methods of algae collection, identification and water quality assessment using algae.

Proceedings
Abstracts will be available on-line before the beginning of the conference at the site http://ib.komisc.ru/add/conf/algo_2009_en/. The Proceedings will be published after the conference.

Abstracts of the presentation (up to 2-3 pages) should be prepared in MS Word (font Times New Roman 11, line spacing 1,0, indentation 1,25 cm, upper and lower margins - 2.5 cm, right and left margins - 2.0 сm.
Title: CAPITAL LETTERS, 12 pt, bold font.
