MAIN RESEARCH DIRECTIONS OF THE INSTITUTE

Main theoretical and experimental research directions of the Institute are the following:

  • Biological animal and plant diversity and ecology;
  • Biocenological basis of productivity and stability of coniferous and deciduous forests;
  • Structural, functional organization and anthropogenic transformation of tundra and taiga ecosystems;
  • Combined effect of small doses of ionizing radiation and other physical and chemical factors on living organisms and natural ecosystems;
  • Biologically active compounds in the natural flora and in the introduced plants.
