MAIN RESEARCH DIRECTIONS OF THE INSTITUTE
Main theoretical and experimental research directions of the Institute are the
following:
- Biological animal and plant diversity and ecology;
- Biocenological basis of productivity and stability of coniferous and deciduous forests;
- Structural, functional organization and anthropogenic transformation of tundra and taiga
ecosystems;
- Combined effect of small doses of ionizing radiation and other physical and chemical
factors on living organisms and natural ecosystems;
- Biologically active compounds in the natural flora and in the introduced plants.
