Dear ecdysonists!
Studying arthropods biochemistry or physiology you can not ignore ecdysteroids - the moulting hormones in insects and crustacean. Unfortunately ecdysone presents in arthropods in trace amount so it is very difficult to isolate it in preparative amount from these animals. We know the outstanding fact that only 25 mg of pure ecdysone were obtained from 500 kg of silkworm pupae by A.Butenandt and P.Karlson. But nature gave us other good source of ecdysteroids - some plants, which produce a wide range of ecdysone analogues (app. 150 different structures) sometimes in significant amount (up to 2-3% of dry weight).
We study phytoecdysteroids for the last 10 years and have got good experience in plant screening of our local flora for ecdysteroids presence, obtaining plant cell cultures - ecdysteroids producers, ecdysteroids isolation and identification and also in their chemical modification. Our experience and technical level allow us to make ecdysteroids of high purity much more cheaper and thus more available to you. Buying ecdysteroids from us you will also help our young scientists to survive in difficult economical conditions in Russia.
The following ecdysteroids are available now, but other ecdysteroids may be obtained from our collection of living plants or cell cultures.
With kind regards
Dr. Vladimir Volodin,
