TRAVELLING TO SYKTYVKAR

Syktyvkar is located on 61N 50E and connected with many cities of Russia (including Moscow and S.-Petersburg) by airlines and railway. Time of flight from Moscow or S.-Petersburg to Syktyvkar is 1 h 40 min. Syktyvkar means “City on the coast of the Sysola river”. It is the capital of the Komi Republic, administrative, public, scientific and cultural center. The city is 210 years old. The population of the city is more than 200 thousand people.

In October day’s max temperature usually varies from 5 to 100C, night temperature – 0-50C. Rainy days can be expected. Rain coat and umbrella may be essential.

ACCOMMODATION

Various levels of accommodation will be offered. Price of the hotel room is 15-40 USD daily and depends on category. Meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) in hotel restaurant are approximately 20-30 USD. Payments will be received in official currency of Russia - Russian Ruble.

Abstracts (one page in English) of all accepted oral and poster presentations will be published before the conference and are distributed at the registration desk .

Full papers (only for those who wish to publish). Only the papers accepted by both the Scientific Advisory Board of the conference and Russian Journal of Plant Physiology (Fiziologia Rastenii) editors after critical review and selection will appear in the special issue of this journal. Three high-quality copies of the manuscript must arrive at the Scientific Advisory Board no later than October 6, 2001. The instructions are shown in the following Web-site:
