GREATINGS

Dear colleagues!

We are pleased to invite you to take part in the International Conference on ecological physiology of plants “Ecological physiology of plants: problems and possible solutions in 21 century” to be held in October, 1-6, 2001 in Syktyvkar (Komi Republic, Russia). The aim of this Conference is to discuss some problems of plant interaction with the environment on a functional level. Special attention is to be paid to the investigations on adaptation, acclimation and reactions of plants to stresses, including anthropogenous ones. Historical aspects of development of the ecological physiology of plants will be also considered and perspective directions of this science in the 21st century will be determined.

We are sure that you could make a very valuable contribution, and we are looking forward to welcomming in Syktyvkar, the capital of the Komi Republic. Dr. Tamara K. Golovko
